About Jenae Silvestri

My journey as an Educator began in 1996 while attending Milo Adventist Academy. I accepted a position under Joy Veverka as a Teacher’s Aid at the adjoining Elementary School, where I worked until graduating in 1999. While attending Southwestern Adventist University I worked for the Chair of Education, Dr. Dee Anderson. After transferring to Pacific Union College I became a Teacher’s Aid at Howell Mountain Elementary.

During the summers I also worked with children. I work at three summer camps Big Lake, Yorktown Bay and Leoni Meadows. I was a wrangler at Big Lake Youth Camp in Oregon. At Yorktown Bay in Arkansas I taught sailing and gymnastics. I was also the Assistant Water Front Director at Leoni Meadows in California. After that I became involved with the Pacific Union College Pool under the direction of Elaine Neudeck. After starting out as a lifeguard, swim instructor and water aerobics instructor I was promoted to Pool Director. During that same time with a friend Erica Davis we started a business called Extreme Youth. This program offered extra curricular activities including rock climbing, gymnastics and mountain biking.

My first classroom was at Napa Christian in California. I was called just before school started and was asked if I wanted to teach fourth grade as a long-term sub. Seeing a great need I stepped up to the challenge and faced 23 fourth graders with two days of preparation. I thoroughly enjoyed my first year teaching at Napa Christian.

My goal as an Educator is to see each of my students in Heaven. I believe that learning should be fun and challenging. At Vineyard Christian each child is taught at his/her own level with personalized instruction. I feel technology is very important and have incorporated the use of laptops into many subject areas. I operate an open classroom and welcome you to visit at anytime throughout the year. Please feel free to contact me by phone at 707/227-9266) or by email if you have any questions or concerns.

Objectives

The following objectives are intended to expand and reflect the mission statement of the Vineyard Christian School:

Introduction

In a cooperative atmosphere of families, churches and community resources, Vineyard Christian School promotes academic excellence, instills spiritual values, cultivates social skills and develops physical talents. Our purpose is to equip young men and women for making intelligent choices in today’s world based on Bible-based eternal principles.

Students attending Vineyard Christian School have chosen to adopt a Christian lifestyle, on and off campus. Each student agrees to accept the moral responsibility associated with education in a Christ-centered school. Vineyard Christian School knowingly accepts and retains only those students who are willing to make this commitment. Vineyard Christian School does not discriminate against, and admits students of any race, national and ethnic origin, gender, or those with physical limitations to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Students of all faiths are welcome and are expected to respect, honor and support the religious principles on which the school is founded. It is our hope that adherence to this commitment while at Vineyard Christian School will extend beyond the years spent here to become a lifetime commitment to the eternal principles of integrity, honor, and morality.
